Shiso, also known as perilla or beefsteak plant, is an herb in Japanese cuisine. The flavor is difficult to explain but some describe the flavor as Basil plus Lime. Use it in Asian dishes, and it also makes a great herbal tea from fresh or dried leaves. Try it iced, with a splash of cranberry or cherry juice. A one gallon pot. Unlike hot peppers, Shiso does better in part shade. Full sun tends to dry out the leaves and leads to reduced growth.
