How to forage for wild winter greens in NC

What makes a food something fit to be sold in the grocery store? It's usually along the lines of: ability for quick production, high yields, shelf stability, and demand. But what's available in stores is only a sampling what is actually food! Many high flavor, high vitamin foods grow all around us, without our help! If you stop to think about it, nearly every plant we eat was bred and domesticated from something that grew in the wild.

On Sat Dec 9th at the Family Bee's-Nees market, I'll have a mini demonstration of how to identify wild edible plants, some live examples as they grow in soil, and harvested greens ready take home and eat!

Can't make it? Check out the info packet that will be at the market, and order yourself some wild greens for delivery today!
